Description

Included activities:

  • Warm-up: A Link to a short, high interest @ 6 minute Business Cycle explanation video as an introduction to this topic. (Link & QR Code provided)
  • Presentation & Student Notes: An 11 full- color slide Business Cycle presentation with corresponding Students Notes Organizer (2 pages).
  • Illustrate the Business Cycle: Your students will use what they learned to illustrate the Business Cycle Diagram; adding pictures to illustrate each phase.
  • Hands-On Cards Application Activity: Put students into groups of three (or in pairs) and pass out a Business Cycle Placemat and a set of Scenario cards. Students will sort the cards and place them into the correct position on the Business Cycle Diagram Placemat. As they are sorting and discussing the correct placement, you (the teacher) can walk around and listen to their discussions and get instant feedback as to their understanding/or lack of on the topic. Use provided Answer Key to check their finished layouts.
  • Extension- Analogy ActivityStudents will create an analogy for Business Cycles from the list provided (or will come up with their own) and use what they have learned to explain the connection! (Great Assessment)
