Candy is not all about cavities, it is a great way to introduce a fun creative writing project. Do before Halloween with my handouts or after Halloween and incorporate REAL wrappers. I have classified well known candy bars into nouns (characters, items, places), Verbs (actions), Onomatopoeias (sounds), Adjectives (descriptions), Quotes (sayings). Have fun using this with any age.

I have given sample Grade 3 standards this can help practice but it really can be used in all grades.

Use in class for group sentence work to learn grammar, assign for homework, or use as journal writing prompts in class. Even preschoolers can help you choose the words to use in a story while high schoolers can get VERY creative and create amazing scripts and stories.
