European Exploration Timeline Map Image Analysis Stations Activity

Students will review 24 events from the Age of Discovery (Era of Exploration) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 12 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 12 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 38 labels.

Sample timeline items include the Treaty of Tordesillas, Columbus reaching the Americas, Cartier claiming Canada for France, Ponce de Leon exploring Florida, Magellan's crew circumnavigating the globe, Cortes conquering the Aztecs, the mutiny against Hudson, and more!

Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
