Description
Students complete a 3 part activity to review President Jefferson and his presidency. The first part has 5 questions to help students review factual parts of Jefferson's presidency. In the second part of the activity students "interview" Jefferson right after his inauguration (5 questions and answers), in the third part they conduct his last interview on his deathbed (5 questions and answers), and the last task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate. This would work for a sub.
Sample questions include:
--As a Democratic-Republican, what did Jefferson stand for/believe in? List and describe 3 of those items.
--Provide a thorough explanation of the First Barbary War. You must at minimum explain who was involved, why there military engagements, where it took place, what the immediate results were, and what those results meant for America in the long-term.
--What is the most important item on your presidential agenda?
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals?
--Which of your 2 terms do you think was more successful and why? Would (or could) you have made any decision differently to make the other term more successful, if so what and why?
