Description
Students will read and analyze a source from John Quincy Adams about why he thinks the Era of Good Feelings has ended by answering 18 questions. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Explain what else has added to this struggle.
--Did England or France pose more of a threat in foreign relations and why?
--Why were the Florida Treaty and the potential to occupy Texas a cause for concern to Adams, and a sign of the end of the Era of Good Feelings?
--What was Adams’ most convincing point for the Era of Good Feelings being at an end and why?
--What was Adams’ least convincing case for the Era of Good Feelings being at an end and why?
--What could someone have said, convincingly, in opposition to Adams, that the Era of Good Feelings was going strong?
