Are you tired of using PowerPoints in your class daily but unsure how to mix things up? Look no further -- this activity has you covered! Students will read articles about the Great Mosque of Isfahan, the Mosque of Selim II, the Great Mosque of Djenné, and the Great Mosque of Córdoba. Then, students will be divided into groups of four. Each student is responsible for learning about one mosque and completing a travel book activity page. Afterwards, students will share their research with the rest of their group. The students who are not presenting will fill out an organizer with information on the mosques. At the end, they will complete a continuity and change over time question. This lesson is the perfect way to teach about these three pieces of art from the 250 in a fun and engaging way.

This resource is a Google Drive resource. While the articles, presentation graphic organizer, and homework pages can be printed, the tour book's main activity is designed to be completed via Google Drive. When you download this resource, you will see the terms of use and printing notes. On the printing notes page, you will have a link to the Google Drive folder. You will need to make a copy of the material if you would like to edit it. All of these instructions, including a step-by-step visual guide on how to use this resource, is included in the terms of use. If you would like to print the resource material, you can do so.
