Westward Expansion Timeline Map Image Analysis Stations Activity

Students will review 20 events from Westward Expansion (the growth of America, American expansion, Manifest Destiny) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 10 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 10 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 28 labels.

Sample timeline items include the California Gold Rush, Texas Annexation, Adams-Onis Treaty, Louisiana Purchase, Mexican Cession, and more!

Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
