Description
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
Preparation is an important characteristic to teach to your students and this quote encapsulates that. I love the image that it evokes of a young Abraham Lincoln sharpening his axe in preparation of an even tougher task.
This is one of my favorite quotes from Abraham Lincoln and it is great for the classroom. I reference this poster in my classroom several times throughout the year.
