Description
The American Revolutionary War Lesson Plan explores the major battles and events of the Revolutionary War and further engages students into the subject matter by examining the significance of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem Paul Revere's Ride, and the history and meaning behind the song "Yankee Doodle".
This unit lesson is designed specifically for 4th-7th graders and has also been used with 8th graders with great success. The lesson covers TWO classroom periods and comes complete with two PowerPoint presentations and three student exercise assignments along with teacher answer keys (in PDF format, and also available digitally via Google Drive).
