Description
Students will review 20 events, battles, accomplishments, developments, and more from the empires of Mesopotamia (Mesopotamian empires) and the Fertile Crescent (Sumer, Akkadians, Assyrians, Hittites, Phoenicians, Babylonians, and Persians) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will put together a timeline with 10 events and write academic identifications. They will also match 10 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 27 labels.
Sample timeline items include Akkad conquers Sumer, Hammurabi rules Babylon, Ur established, the compilation of the Zend-Avesta, Cyrus the Great conquers Babylon, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
