AP European History Review Game Give a Clue

Are you looking for a review activity that gets students up and talking? This is my "go to" review activity that I call "Give a Clue." It reviews AP European History.

This game is a great to use throughout the year as a formative assessment. It's also great for the last push review before the AP exam. Each period is color coded, so you can just have students play a few slides a day to get them up and moving - and reviewing!

How to Play:

Students stand up and pair up. You can also do groups of 4. Half of each group faces your projector screen and the other half of each group has their back to the screen. You project a slide from the game on your screen. The students facing the screen give clues to their group (with their backs to the screen) to try and get them to guess each of the items they see. After a couple of minutes you debrief with them, then students switch places.

This is an active review game that allows for students to take the lead! If you listen carefully, you'll be able to tell immediately what they are still struggling with and can debrief/review accordingly.
