Description
Have your students work collaboratively with a partner, group, or individually to find the area of each shape that makes up the wolf in order to find the sum of the entire wolf!
Shapes include triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids.
This assignment page has many different applications in your classroom! You can assign this as homework or a mini-project for your students to work on individually or in groups during class. My favorite may to use this assignment is as a mini breakout to get my students motivated to work collaboratively to solve the puzzle.
In order to set up a breakout, you will need one "lockbox", (I buy plastic toolboxes at Wal-Mart for less than $10) and a lock of your choosing! This assignment includes multiple pages to fit different locks to fit your specific resources as well as a page that does not require a lock.
Locks that can be used with this resource include
- Directional lock
- 4 digit numerical lock
- 4 letter combination lock
