Description
Greetings! This listing features a one-page homework quiz about bacteria. I created it and annually assign it in my high school biology class.
This quiz offers twelve questions that check students’ understanding of bacterial taxonomy, classification, morphology, reproduction, pathogens, colony structures, the English meaning of Latin root words, the differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, the role of a heterotroph, and how heterotrophic bacteria obtain their nutrients. The last question on the quiz asks students to list six reasons why bacteria are alive as a rebuttal to the beliefs of a “know-it-all” third grader, who is convinced bacteria are not alive.
I provided a key with the answers in bold red font.
This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Program.
