Description
Bungee jumping is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. This lab you will predict how many rubber bands are needed so that an object can "Bungee Jump" from a given height without hitting the surface below. Students will analyze the relationship between the falling distance of a bungee jumper and the number of rubber bands needed to stop the jumper's fall. This lab is blast and it will help reinforce the following topics:
- Conservation of Energy
- Potential Energy
- Kinetic Energy
- Elastic Potential Energy
- Graphical Analysis
- linear Regression
- Find 'Line of Best Fit'
- Slope formula, y=mx+b
