Case 13: WWI Maria Bochkareva and the Russian Women's Battalion of Death, looks at the contribution of Russian women during the First World War and dives into the experiences of Maria Bochkareva. One of the focus skills for the lesson is reliability of sources, but students will also build vocabulary, analyse sources, engage with the historical concepts of context, perspective, motive, implicit and explicit evidence, audience and context.
