3.50 Vienna Genesis - 3.54 Virgin (Theotokos) and Child Between Saints Theodore and George - Continuity and Change Over Time in Byzantine Art - Articles - Infographic - Activity - AP Art History - Google Drive - Complete Lesson - Homework
Are you tired of using PowerPoints in your class daily but unsure how to mix things up? Look no further -- this activity has you covered! Students will read articles about the 3.50 Vienna Genesis and 3.54 Virgin and Child Between Saints. Students annotate the articles and answer questions in the margins as they read the articles. At the end, students will create an infographic detailing continuities and changes from Antiquity through Byzantine Art. The infographic and article questions have a special emphasis on Continuity and Change Over Time (CCOT). This lesson is the perfect way to teach about these two pieces of art from the 250 in a fun and engaging way. This lesson also works as a great sub lesson plan!
