You are purchasing a 14 page resource on the 13 English Colonies, that includes a map and primary source activity. Your students will be answering the questions: Where were the English colonies located? What made each colony unique? How can you describe life in each colony?
Your students will:
1) Label a map of the location of the colonies and other details including the year each colony was founded and was each colony a New England, Middle or Southern Colony.
2) Read 7 short primary source excerpts about various colonies in the English colonies that describe life in that specific colony/region.
3) Answer comprehension questions from each excerpt on a graphic organizer provided.
4) Complete an EXIT CARD activity in which they illustrate their overall knowledge of life in the New England, Middle and Southern Colonies.
Great Activity to use as a lead in to the Pre-Revolutionary War/Revolutionary War era that your students can complete individually or in small groups!
