Description
Welcome! Students often confuse the three ways thermal heat is transferred. I created this two-page classification document to help my eighth grade physical science students gain experience patterning and identifying examples of conduction, convection and radiation.
I provided a brief definition of each term in the inset text box at the stop of the student page. Students then will classify the type of thermal heat transfer for twenty-nine scenarios. Students are directed to answer each class of thermal heat transfer in a different color, which makes it a better visual study guide and an easier document for the teacher to grade.
This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat DC Reader program. It includes a two-page key with the answers in colored font.
This resource complements the following activities related to thermal energy in my store.
