This lessons teaches the definition of the constant of proportionality, how to find the constant of proportionality from a table or a graph, and create an equation for their proportion in the form y = kx. Students are then presented with a word problem that requires students to create a table of values, use the table to write ordered pairs, graph on a coordinate plane, and write the equation for their proportion.
