The main objective of this lesson is to have students compare the characteristics and abilities of different types of hominid
This lesson includes a 20 slide PowerPoint with:

There are three different options for the activity, each using Information Cards on five different hominids.
(Australophethucs, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Neanderthals, and Homo sapiens)
Activity Option 1: Students answer the comprehension & analysis questions based on a hominid’s information card
Activity Option 2: Students compare different hominids to one another using the organizer provided

Version A: Students select two (2) different hominids and compare them to one another

Version B: Students select one hominid and compare them to modern humans
Activity Option 3: Students complete the organizer by describing the differences/changes between the hominids labeled on the left and right
