Digital/Hands on or Remote Mosaic Art lesson Plan Grades 6-12 by Celestes Palette

This mosaic lesson has 3 modifications to fit your needs. It has art history, links to video clips, examplars and specific directions. There is a way to use reycled materials, or digital resources such as Photoshop, Procreate or Google draw. Minimal supplies are needed and many ideas of materials that are inexpensive and easy to find. Students will compare/contrast historical mosaics against modern more abstract mosaics. Students will have choice in subject matter and be expected to evaluate their own work with an attached rubric.
