Description
Students will learn about the rise and fall, key people, events, and more from East Africa's kingdoms and city-states of Axum, Ethiopia, Great Zimbabwe, Kilwa, and others with this resource. There are 4 texts to read with a graphic organizer, cloze passage, and review questions for each. They will then complete true/false/fix, a map with 28 labels/tasks, and up to 5 extension tasks. The extension tasks include word clouds, a timeline, compare and contrast, and designing a museum exhibit. A teacher information page and examples are included, as well as the answers where appropriate. Depending on your students this can be a learning packet, stations, or a jigsaw.
