Description
This is an Economics web-quest activity, a perfect addition to a lesson on business structures. Specifically students will answer the following:
What does it take to start a franchise? How is this business structure unique?
In this 5 page Activity students will:
1) Complete a warm-up activity in which they answer questions about themselves to determine if they have what it takes to open a franchise and watch a short public access video on how a franchise works. (worksheet included)
2) Use the internet to research 3 actual franchises they could open. (website is provided)
3) Compare the background information for each franchise including: History of Company, Current CEO, Cost to open, royalty fees, basic qualifications, advertising etc.
4) Exit Card: Complete an exit card (assessment) activity at the end of the lesson.
