Description
Do you need a gym game that you can use tomorrow? What about a whole unit of low-organized games complete with diagrams and directions? Elementary Gym Games contains 21 original activities that were specifically designed to meet curriculum objectives. In K-3, students learn the 14 movement skills that will prepare them for organized sports. These movements include running, skipping, galloping, jumping, hopping, overhand throw, underhand throw, catching, rolling, kicking, striking, bouncing, static balance, and dynamic balance. In Grades 4-6, the students focus on specific skills and higher-level strategic games. This package also contains several fitness activities which, of course, are always disguised as fun.
The games included in this package are:
• Predators and Prey
• The Slammer
• Partner Fitness
• Fitness Dodgeball
• Color Tag
• Super Mouse
• Robin Hood
• Treasure
• Dribbling Attack
• Cowboy Relay
• Earning Money
• Star Passing Challenge
• Rock, Paper, Scissors Battle
• Frog Tag
• Stick Handling Thieves
• Spiderball
• Around the Block
• Team Dodgeball
• Beanbag Zone Toss
• Messy Room
• Indianapolis 500
