Celebrate these unique holidays with a little fun. Begin with Fruitcake Day on December 27th and Wrap it up with Toss your Fruitcake Day on January 3rd.
Begin by reading the informational text page on the history and facts of Fruitcake. You can also use the Google Slide presentation or the Homeschool Holiday EXCLUSIVE teaching video.
Then make your own fruitcake cookies (recipe included), fruitcake (recipe NOT included) or simply make a trip to the store to purchase ready made fruitcake (money to buy fruitcake NOT included).
Hold a fruitcake tasting survey of friends and family and graph the results with the included worksheet.
Then, on Fruitcake Toss Day, January 3, throw those leftover fruitcakes and measure up the learning. This packet includes a printable target you can use to perfect your fruitcake tossing aim, You can also record the distance in inches of your tosses, then calculate the average distance you were able to throw that fruitcake! Handy recording sheet has room for 4 tosses.
If you compete with others there are 4 different fruitcake awards you can print and pass out. The 5th award is "blank" so you can customize it to fit your needs.
There is a fruitcake coloring page with a simple bit of copywork in trace, print and cursive to finish up the experience.
