Description
*Included: 8 page mini book template; instructions; Gettysburg Address Mini Book
I recently started using these mini books in my class and my student’s have really enjoyed them. Occasionally I will create one for them (see Gettysburg Address example) or I will print off the blank piece of paper for them and provide them with a topic to research or write about. You can use these for a review of a lesson or an introduction. It’s great for comparing and contrasting different ideas, people, places, etc. It also lets the students be creative. What I like the most is it allows me to teach in a different way. Rather than just have my students take notes during a lecture, video, or reading, I’ll give them “Section Title” in their book and they have to summarize the information in their own words since it is their book. It can be used for elementary or secondary grade levels. I have been able to fit in common core standards into these books. I think you and your students will really enjoy them!
