Description
Why a Gratitude Journal?
Our mental health improves, our contentment increases, and stress decreases.
- Contentment: a state of full satisfaction.
- Grateful: a deeper, more internalized feeling of appreciation, usually for something specific and tangible.
- Thankful: typically used to show appreciation for benefits received, often in response to another person's actions, gestures, or kindness.
How it Works:
It’s simple! Print each page (or use this Canva link within purchase to make your own digital copy). On the page, top left corner, the page number corresponds to the day of the month you’re on (if today is the 3rd, you’re on page 3). Every month with the appropriate days are on each page.
Whether this is for you, your students, your kids, or someone else you love, try to write 1-2 (or more) things, people, places, events, etc. that you are thankful for. You can repeat items too!
Don’t stress if you miss a day or two. It shouldn’t feel like a chore, but it’s a good practice, so set reminders or place this in a place you can easily see and use it daily.
This is a year-long, so if you start on Jan. 5, it’ll end Jan. 4 of the following year. Start any day you like! There are extra notes pages to elaborate or for robust days of thankfulness.
