Do you struggle to assess student work? I find rubrics are essential to ensure you are assessing accurately and objectively. This rubric on historical thinking skills is based on the C3 standards, although it is useful for assessing historical thinking even if you don’t use C3. It is also editable. It would be great for project-based learning or inquiry in either history or ELA.
This rubric focuses on:
- Cause and effect
- Perspective
- Change and continuity
