How to Analyze Primary Sources Guide and Graphic Organizers

Students can use this packet to learn how to analyze text based primary sources, historical images/paintings, and political cartoons. This includes two approaches for analyzing text sources, 2 sample texts with mini graphic organizers filled out as a guide, and one sample text for students to practice on. There is one image and two political cartoons with guiding analysis questions and answers, and a third political cartoon for students to practice on. Lastly, there are 6 graphic organizers: two for HIPP analysis, two for lower level analysis, and two for image/political cartoon analysis.
