Description

These resources for American Imperialism from 1890-1909 largely cover the acquisition of Hawaii and the Spanish-American War. Additional topics include but are not limited to: Rough Riders, White Man's Burden, Open Door Policy, Boxer Rebellion, Theodore Roosevelt, Panama Canal, and the Roosevelt Corollary. There are images, maps, political cartoons, and recap questions in the slides.

The test is multiple choice, matching cause and effects, and short answer. You also get a DBQ on Imperialism and another DBQ on the Spanish-American War, a timeline review for the Spanish-American War, a mix and match review, 2 mini projects, a Text and Image Analysis (12 questions on a reading passage and 11 images), a White Man's Burden text and image analysis, a text and image analysis for the Platt and Teller Amendments, a Rough Riders primary source analysis, a one pager review, a visual timeline, and an analysis of John Hay's Open Door Note (text, images, and creative tasks).

All answer keys or rubrics are included where appropriate. Most of the activities would be great for a sub!
