Are you tired of using PowerPoints in your class daily but unsure how to mix things up? Look no further--this knowledge and identity in 18th-century art activity has you covered! Students will read articles about the Self-Portrait (Elisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun) and A Philosopher Giving a Lecture on the Orrery. They will then complete a biography page and an interview page for each artist. This lesson is the perfect way to teach about these two pieces of art from the 250 in a fun and engaging way. At the end of this lesson, students will complete a Long Essay Visual/ Contextual Analysis Question (FRQ 2).
