Description
Knowledge and recognition of letter names and shapes is a strong predictor of success in learning to read.
Children whose alphabetic knowledge is under-developed when they start school need organized, sensible instruction that will help them identify, name, and write letters.
Instruction should include activities that allow children learn and practice identifying, naming, and writing both upper case and lower case versions of each letter.
