MATH Place Value, Multiplying and Dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 - 108 questions and key

This resource is great for checking on the development of math skills within the context of place value, multiplying and dividing any number (including decimals) by 10, 100 and 1000.

We devised this resource to use as a starting point and end point to our teaching of place value. It is in two parts:

• Part 1: A graduated approach to the two skills of multiplying and dividing, and then breaking those two parts into three sections each of x 10, x 100, x 1000, then moving to division by 10, 100 and 1000. The numbers within each section are also carefully selected to move up in complexity the further the students move through the activity - assessing learning of the place value system in every question.
• Part 2: A randomized assessment of learning within all 6 skills - mixing division and multiplication and the method of using 10, 100 and 1000.

This product includes the worksheet and an answer key. It is ideal to assess knowledge before starting the topic, and as an assessment of learning once the topic has been taught. It can be used as a home learning activity, remote activity, math center and early finisher too!

It provided lots of evidence on each students' progress within the topic and provided opportunities for students to be grouped and target teaching on what was needed for those groups, rather than repeating teaching on areas they do not need.
