Description
Students will review 32 events from European revolutions in 1830 and 1848, the unification of Germany and Italy, Latin American independence, Great Britain's reforms efforts, France under Napoleon III and the Third Republic, and more with this timeline stations and map activity.
The first task is to put 12 event on a timeline and write academic identifications. The second station (or task) is to match 12 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. In the third station (or task) students will identify which country is missing from 8 statements and put them in chronological order. The fourth station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 35 labels.
Sample timeline items include February Days, Bolivar leads Venezuela to independence, Tsar Alexander II assassinated, Reform Act of 1832, Blood and Iron, Dreyfus Affair, Franco-Prussian War, Young Italy established, Greek independence from the Ottoman Empire, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
