Introduce students to Neoclassicism art with this lecture! Students will learn what the Neoclassical art movement represents and how to identify it in art. In addition to learning about form, function, content, and context for The Oath of the Horatii, Monticello, and George Washington, students will be pushed to analyze 18th-century art with a special emphasis on continuity and change over time (CCOT). This lesson comes packed full of discussion questions to check for student understanding. Students will complete a FRQ 2 practice writing prompt at the end of this lesson.
