Description

This listing features two crossword puzzles about the nervous system for a Human Anatomy and Physiology course. It reinforces the following subtopics - nervous system divisions, cell classification, cell anatomy, disorders, levels of consciousness, brain anatomy, lobe functions, neurotransmitters, key ions, and action potential.

The terms covered include: Afferent, attentiveness, axon, contusion, corpus callosum, direction, dura mater, efferent, ependymal cell, exocytosis, frontal, gyrus, hypothalamus, meningitis, neuroglia, neurotransmitter, Parkinson's disease, polarization, receptor, relaxation, Schwann cell, sodium (ion), stroke, sulcus, synapse, and temporal.

The clues are on the same page as the crossword grid. I included an answer key for each puzzle. I also created a combined word bank showing all twenty-six terms. There are three sets of word banks on one page with cut-out lines to help save paper.

This crossword puzzle set will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC app.

This activity is the second crossword puzzle set in a two-part series I offer about the nervous system through Amped Up Learning.
