Newton's Laws Review Puzzles NGSS MS-PS-2-1

A set of four puzzles that have students practice critical thinking skills and apply concepts related to Newton's 2nd law, determining net force from a diagram, balancing forces from a net force diagram, and using the speed formula. These worksheets work well for independent practice, as stations, as homework, or as part of your emergency plans for substitute teachers or other last minute schedule changes.

Supports the DOK 1 knowledge needed to meet the challenges of MS-PS-2-1 Apply Newton’s Third Law to design a solution to a problem involving the motion of two colliding objects and MS-PS-2-2. Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object.
