Percent Change Self-Checking Digital Holiday - Winter - Christmas Activity

Math is fun again with this self-checking Christmas digital find the percent of change Holiday Battery Drain for Google Sheets! This middle school Christmas math activity is perfect for engaging your students in calculating percent change. I hope your students have as much fun with this activity as mine did!

In the self-checking activity, Battery Drain, students answer questions and attempt to guess the mystery word or phrase before they run out of battery life.  In this hangman-style game, as students correctly answer questions, they are able to guess letters in an attempt to guess the mystery word or phrase. The students continue to answer questions in any order and guess letters until no questions remain.  Can the students guess the mystery word or phrase before their battery drains?

The students answer the questions in any order they prefer.  After solving the question on a whiteboard, scratch paper, or the provided workspace, students type their final answer into the appropriate cell.  If correct, the students receive immediate feedback by earning an additional guess and revealing a fully charged battery next to their answer. In contrast, when students answer incorrectly, their answer turns red and a drained battery appears to let them know they should go back and revise their answer or seek help from their instructor.
