Percent of a Number

"Percent of a Number" starts with a review of percentages by showing 10x10 grids. Students find the number shaded out of one hundred, and then shade in their own grids to show given percentages. Double number lines are used to show how to find the percent of a number. Then students are given the rule to change the percentage to a decimal and multiply. A practice slide let's them practice changing a percentage to a decimal, and on the final slide they find the percent of a number on several computation problems.
