Perimeter and Area Lesson - Digital and Printable
Description
Looking for a no-prep lesson to teach perimeter and area? This slide deck begins showing students how to count the units around a geometric figure. (a difficult skill for many!) Then it has students find the perimeter of several different shapes, including composite figures. The lesson moves on to area by first having students count the square units inside a figure, and moving on to the formulas for the area of a rectangle, triangle, and a trapezoid. Many colorful visuals of perimeter and area.
Product includes a teacher key, video instructions, a printable foldable for the student notebooks, and a printable worksheet to follow the digital lesson.
