Students will read articles about Still Life in Studio, Nadar Raising Photography to the Height of Art, and The Horse in Motion. As students read these three short articles, they will participate in a series of discussion questions. Finally, they will create their own "photo album" by writing down the attribution information and a summary of each piece of art. At the end, they will answer a question on whether they consider photography to be art with a special emphasis on Continuity and Change Over Time (CCOT).

This lesson is the perfect way to teach about these three pieces of art from the 250 in a fun and engaging way. This lesson also works as a great sub lesson plan!
