Description
Students analyze 15 documents, answer 15 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review Jefferson's presidency. There are 10 essay prompts for students to choose from (one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub! ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***
Sample questions include:
--Explain what Document 2 reflects about the conflicting feelings regarding Jefferson’s potential presidency.
--Identify whether Document 5 is pro or anti-Jefferson and why.
--Summarize the main point of Document 8.
--Does Document 11 support or oppose the Embargo Act of 1807 and why?
--Identify the role of Document 14 in Jefferson’s presidency.
