Description
Multi-Variable Literal Equations Activity. In this Spy Agency Math Challenge, students practice solving literal equations in an engaging way.
This activity includes 5 one-variable equations and 10 literal equations (multi-variable equations) for students to solve.
Great to use for practice, homework, review, or sub plans.
You are in training to become the Chief of Spies and have to complete 10 missions with their help, to decode the coded message and earn your Secret Agent Badge. Each agent has their unique encoded number assigned. Only the person who is able to decode the numbers and, based on them, decode the name of the Secret Agent Team, can become the head of the Spy Agency. The numbers will also be useful in the 10 missions you have to complete.
First, students solve 5 one-variable equations to find the unique Secret Agent numbers and decode the name of the Secret Agent Team.
Then they have to complete 10 missions in which they have to solve each literal equation for the specified variable and evaluate with given replacement values to complete the cipher decoder. This will enable them to decode the coded message and complete the missions.
