7 Step Social Studies
Are you a new teacher looking for structured lessons? Are you a veteran teacher who needs some sub plans or new ideas for aligning to the new STAAR test?
These lessons are meant to build 7 skills while presenting the content in multiple ways for students. The goal is for students to:
1. Recall information relating to the topic
2. Question a stimulus provided
3. Read about the topic/annotate
4. Think and organize information
5. Talk about the events
6. Create something with the information (student choice)
7. Write out main ideas from the lesson (Made to align to learning targets)
Each handout can be completed in 1-2 class periods and combined with a google slide presentation that directly aligns to Texas TEKS.
