Description
Students will review 45 events, documents, people, and more from across Texas History with this timeline stations and map activity divided into early inhabitants through Reconstruction and cattle/frontier through the modern day. They will put together two timelines with 11 and 10 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 11 and 13 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis (5 for each topic set) and the final station (or task) is two maps with 28 and 26 labels.
Sample timeline items include the Karankawa, Cry of Dolores, Old 300, the Battle of the Alamo, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, Mission San Juan Bautista, King Ranch, Galveston Hurricane, Dorie Miller, Spindletop, Voting Rights Act, Zimmerman Note, Ma Ferguson, Raymond Telles, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for an end of year or cumulative review, or even for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
