Description
Are you looking for a fun way to review students in Texas History? This is a fun review game that covers people, events, documents, treaties, wars, vocabulary - you name it - for Texas History. My US History version of this game is a best selling product in my store - your kids will love this one for 7th grade Texas History!
All you need to play is small, cheap envelopes! Simply print out this product, (laminate if possible), cut up the cards and place them in the envelopes for each group.
How is the game played?
- In groups of 4 or 5, a student will pull out a card from their envelope and start describing it to their group. (They give "GOOD" clues, not clues that will "give it away.") When their group members guess correctly, the student puts the term on their desk and continues to describe as many more terms as they can before the teacher says "PASS." That student then hands the envelope to the next group member and it's their turn to start describing. This is a RACE between groups. The group that describes all of their cards first wins.
This is a fun way to review a ton of Texas History in a competitive, active way!
This product includes:
- teacher instructions
- student instruction page (to be projected to a whole class, or printed to have at each group)
- over 500 cards - divided into Eras (See preview)
- lots of blank cards if you choose to add your own.
-Please note, if there are terms you don't need, just remove them before you have students play.
Teacher benefit:
- Once this game is prepped, it's great to "pull out of your pocket" on those days when you need a filler activity or the when internet goes down. (We all know that reality, right?)
