For the Activity there are 3 different options each centered around a 980-word reading on the geography of Egypt that goes the following 6 features. The Sahara Desert, Kush Kingdom, Sinai Peninsula, Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Nile River. The instructor can also divide these sections up among students for differentiation.
  • Option 1Advantages and Disadvantages Organizer. Each feature is given their own section and students must describe the pros and cons of each features, and determine if they are overall positive or negative for Egypt
  • Option 2 Box Chart – Students use the box chart to describe advantages and disadvantages of Egyptian geography and how it impacted life in Egypt.
  • Option 3 – Map Organizer – Students describe the geography of Egypt and how it impacted Egyptian life on a Map Organizer. This is a great visual way to get students to learn the location of these various features
Keys provided for each activity option!
 
This lesson has been adapted for digital learning. Students can use apps such as LuminPDF or Dochub to complete and submit the fillable PDF files.
