Description
Students will review 25 events from the Gilded Age (the West, industry and labor, immigration, cities, and politics) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 12 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 13 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 25 labels (plus identifying each state).
Sample timeline items include the Dawes Severalty Act, Haymarket Square Riot, Treaty of Ft. Laramie, Wounded Knee Massacre, the Pullman Strike, Hayes takes office, Cross of Gold speech, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
