Transformative European Renaissance and Enlightenment Thinkers Skits

Students will create a dinner party for some of the greatest artists, thinkers, writers, scientists, and politicians in human history!  

Students will Research each of these figures and take what you have found to fill out a Bio Sheet for each one. Complete this sheet for points, and it will be used to give you a better idea of how they might think and behave during the conversation you are planning.

Students will Decide the topics of conversation  your party. The theme will decide the topics of conversation your guests will engage in and will depend on which figures you chose.  A few sample ideas: religion (views on the Catholic Church, what purpose religion serves, corrupt practices in religion), art (what is good art, who are the best artists, who supports the best artists, where great artists are from), technology (what is new, how is technology changing the world), politics (who are the best leaders, what way is the best way to govern).  These are just sample ideas; be creative and come up with your own that make sense for your guests.

Tables are provided for note taking templates and note taking from presentations. Takes 2-3 class periods and internet or textbook resources.
