Description
A Gallery Walk is an activity in which your students will examine museum-like exhibits that you place around the classroom in order to complete their assignment. It is a fun way to present the information and it gets your class up and moving in an organized way- a fun break from lecture!
Specifically your students will:
1) Use their class textbook/internet to briefly identify the 8 major roles/job of a president.
2) Walk around the classroom to examine museum "exhibits" (pictures, article excerpts, quotes etc.) with a partner/small group. (all materials provided)
3) Discuss the provided "exhibit" discussion questions with their group and record a response on the graphic organizer provided.
4) Lastly students will use the information provided to identify which presidential role is being illustrated at each exhibit they visit.
5) Students will complete an Exit Card activity to apply what they have learned about the jobs of a president using a current event.
